Learning to dive or just try ?
There are a number of ways to get into Scuba Diving. Common for all of them is that they all involve a Scuba Diving Instructor, either a PADI accredited instructor or an instructor from another organization. Dont try Scuba or learn Scuba diving from someone who are not supposed to teach you.
Children from the age of 10 can join in the below programmes.
Discover Scuba Experience
After a short classroom session, your instructor will take you into the swimming pool where you will experience your first breaths underwater using Scuba diving equipment. If you are confortable, the instructor will take you through a few of the skills that certified divers learn, just to give you an idea of what is required.
Discover Scuba Diving
This programme consists of the Discover Scuba Experience mentioned above PLUS one or more open water divers with your instructor. You will, in other words, be diving for real and checking out the underwater marine life. Not on your own of course - your instructor will supervise you closely and make sure this is a safe experience for you.
PADI Open Water Diver course
Commonly known as "the PADI", this course will teach you the basics of scuba diving in the classroom, in the pool and on four compulsory open water dives. Upon successful completion, you will be awarded your Open Water license, which will allow you to go diving and rent or buy equipment all over the world. The PADI Open Water course, is by far the most popular scuba diving course in the world, certifying 100's of thousands of new divers every year worldwide. Coursework takes approx 30 hours and, if well prepared, the course can be completed in as little as 3 full days.
PADI Scuba Diver course
This is a shorter version of the Open water course, resulting in a "limited" license for students completing this course. The Scuba Diver course is actually the first two thirds of the Open water course and mainly attracts student divers, who dont have the time to join the full open water course.
